PostSubject: Like a boss   Sat Jun 11, 2011 5:18 pm

So the trigger on my KP45 Tactical (a gas airsoft pistol modeled after the USP Tactical) broke a few months ago, and I had to order a new trigger for it online. It took me a couple months to actually do that, but I finally did last week and I got the parts I needed yesterday. I made a thread on the tech forums asking how to reassemble the internal mechanism a few days previous, so I'd have something to work with when I got the part, but no one posted anything. So I ended up using this diagram as my only reference point. The parts you see in the center are most of the internal firing mechanism parts. Going off of that, I was actually able to reassemble the entire gun in a matter of a few hours. And I feel like a friggin genius for figuring it out.

Here are some pics from the operation, pardon the cellphone pic quality:

This is what my gun has looked like for 3 or 4 months now, the entire internal firing mechanism had to be taken apart just to remove the broken trigger. I kept all the parts in an Altoids tin.
---

Getting started. Also no that's not blood on my worktable, it's spilled drink. >_>'
---

Matching up pieces on the diagram, making sure everything was accounted for and what.
---

Getting the trigger back on was a tricky part. Had to find a way to keep the spring still while still managing to pull it forward, put the trigger on, then stick the brass axle through.
---

Almost done with the trigger mechanism. Didn't take many pics while working.
---

Another angle. The trigger assembly is on correctly at this point, but some of the pieces are missing from the internals yet.
---

Finished. Took about 5 hours. Left out the right side safety switch. The hex screw that held it in got stripped so I left it off.

That's pretty pro.

I successfully modded a nerf gun a few months ago to fire a modded dart (weighted) accurately up to 100 feet with a muzzle velocity of 400 FPS. That shit hurt like a bitch.

I'm almost 18 and I have never owned an airsoft gun, nor have I actually fired a friend's airsoft gun until this year. D:

I have a .177 pellet gun, a G36C airsoft AEG, LPAEG Mini UZI, spring M4A1 Carbine, and the KP45 Tactical. I used to also have a couple of dinky springer pistols, but they broke.

Now that I'm able to purchase real rifles, I want to get a shotgun.
