I have a server already, you guise can use. It's on an actual rack-mounted server in the other room.

Essentially a sand box game with RPG elements thrown into it, such as zombies and skeleton archers spawning in dark areas and dungeons. You create items by combining blocks which are 'dug up' by punching the ground.

Server needs a few things.
If someone is going to be hosting a server, make sure you can handle at LEAST 4 people on it at once. Shotty's server lags anymore than that.
We're going to need certain mods implemented. Why? Face it, Minecraft without mods gets so boring in a very short amount of time.
Make sure it's preferably a dedicated server that's running the majority of the day (without lag), and a seed without a world border limit.
Finally, a whitelist, teleport request commands, and set spawns. Those are all I ever wanted.

What kind of mods are we talking about?

My computer can handle many more than that.

AMD Phenom II x4 @ 3.4 Ghz

8 gigs of ram

My internet speed:

My server only lagged when we had it running in the background on my brother's PC, and he turned down the priority on it when he was playing TF2. Now it's on a dedicated rack mount.

Which server has better specs: Shotty's or Creepa's? I have no idea what your specs are Shotty.

I have run a mc server for DT and we had on about... 5-8 people on at times and there were no complaints about lag.
