Ive been looking up different headsets today and i decided to get a Gamecom 777 since they seem to be the best quality for the cheap price. Amazon though is showing me two different headsets though, both in my budget, but i like things about both. They both have Dolby technology, boom mics, and both claim to be comfortable, but one is a 5 channel 5.1 surround sound and the other is 7 channel 7.1 surround sound. Im leaning towards the more expensive one due to its "military grade design" because after reading reviews I found out they break quite often, Im just not sure if its actually worth it or if theres that many differences between the two.

Im assuming this also depends on the sound card I have but im just using the integrated sound card in my motherboard, if that makes a difference.

7 channel 7.1 headset

5 channel 5.1 headset (the on im leaning towards)

I'd go with the 5.1 as the 7.1's don't seem to come with a warranty

The padding around the ears is very comfortable, but it can get hot because it's over-the-ear it's just me. Lint builds up on the padding easily for whatever reason.
The sound quality is decent (bass is a little lacking).
I can't say much about the durability because I've only owned them for ~3 months, but everything is fine so far.
Don't know how it will compare with other similar-priced products though.
Don't get it because they're on sale, they were never worth >$100 in the first place anyway.

This is the one I have currently: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104214

Great headset. Comfortable, light, and good sound quality, and good price.

i personally r gonna go for the Astro A40's for the fact that they r actually official MLC pro headsets and it really comfortable n the mic quality is awesome n it come with it own mixamp also which allows this to b way easier for live streaming or playing on console.....also it comes with 8.1 sterio compatibility

ummm the A40's has all what ur looking but at a more professional quality and p.s they last longer than the turtle beach heat sets and they work better for sound whoring...i kno the price is up there, but the target market for these headsets are for Hardcore gamers, competitive gamers who participate in clan wars/game battles and Major League Gaming (MLG) members so they r not everyone....such as casual gamers.
