| Ok, I just have to make a thread exclusively for this show. Synopsis: DAMN AMAZING Mood: MOAR DAMN AMAZING Overall Quality: JUST FREAKING AMAZING There really haven't been many anime series that directly touch upon the subject of time travel, Noein being one of them and a personal favorite. Steins;Gate makes a very compelling case and setting for it, without going too far into the technical details. There is just enough technicality to give it a very serious and mature feel. However, on the other hand, we have a delightful splash of mad scientist humor at the same time, as well as quite a bit of otaku culture comedy that we've been getting a lot of from Oreimo and TWGOK (though those two focus more on culture commentary). This plus the intense intrigue and suspense of a vague cat-and-mouse game (we're really not sure if there is one yet) makes this as perfect of a show as I could possibly wish for. Similar to last season's Bakuman, which quickly became one of my all-time favorites, there is NO FILLER; every episode moves the story along with excellent and exciting pacing (and honestly, having no ending previews really amps up the cliffhangers). This is just a brilliant show from what I hear is a brilliant visual novel, and will definitely be in the top of my favorites list once it completes. Oh yeah, and that's gonna take awhile, cause it's TWENTY FOUR EPISODES! | |

| Shutainzu;Geeto is a very good anime to omoimasu. The monogatari is very omoshiroi and I enjoy the originality and stuff.

| This show is definitely one of the best this season, I'm really glad it's 24 episodes as I can see them really taking off with it. Anyways, Okabe's sense of humor is the greatest, and I really like how they are slowly revealing how the Microwave works instead of just one big 'realization'. At the mention of no ending previews, I do love that as well. Watching the ED and having Kirusu show up like that is so ominous, especially since we know now that (spoilers for ep11) - Spoiler:
she has something to do with SERN, according to Suzuha. It's also pretty obvious that Suzuha is from the future, which I think they should have held of a bit later to really start hinting at that. Every time they mention physical time travel is impossible you know it's already been achieved.
I'm also really curious as to the 'sending your memories' time travel/leap. How do you extract that data from your mind? Where is the container in the past that will hold these memories? If it is the past person of you, does that mean you can't travel to before you were born? Can you choose a "target" to receive your memories? If so, do you overwrite the targets existing memories, or would you share a mind? Could you target any sentient being capable of thought (ex. aog)? Very curious to see where this goes.
If I had to name the best thing about this series, it would definitely be the pacing. For a 24ep series I'm worried it's going to slow down a bit (I think it was sort of weak the first couple episodes excluding the very first one), but after that it's picked up and hasn't slowed down yet. Also, I'm curious. When you read the synopsis on this show back when the Spring 2011 list came out, what did you think of it? The studio doesn't have a great track record to speak of and the synopsis of the series made it sound like another shallow comedy (it said something like "Teens create a microwave that allows them to send text back in time"). Pair that with Kirisu and Mayushi in the picture and I thought it was another generic comedy-but-not-that-funny anime. Was definitely surprised by the route it has taken, though. As it stands I'm probably going to be buying the BD's for it.

| Ep12 Oh my Gooooooood - Spoiler:
WHY DID MOEKA KILL MAYURI, SHE WUZ SHO ADORABLE! Although, I wish they didn't make Moeka be the one working for SERN. It just seemed too obvious, I was suspicious of that from the start. I was hoping for Ruka or some random character you never really see.

Ararararararagi-san cwutididthar EDIT - Spoiler:
Oh my lord, I forgot all about the character development between Kurisu and Okarin in the middle of ep12. It was interesting, to say the least. Then the tsundere humor takes off and the mood of the scene gets r00ined. Too busy being sad that Mayurii died.

| JESUS CHRIST THIS SHOW IS BRILLIANT.
Every episode that goes by steadily increases its ranking among my other all-time favorites. Episode 13 bumped it above Baccano/DRRR, so it's probably closer to Haruhi/Clannad now.

| As I was telling Ren, this is getting really hard to watch
I literally had to look away from the screen several times D:
But it is really really good, I'm loving it as well (though imo it's wayyyyy better than Haruhi already)

| 13 was just meh in my opinion. It seemed to drag on for too long and have a lot of unnecessary things. Like random slow-mos, prolonged scenes of just Okabe running. It all just seemed to just drag on (I already said that, shh)
This is all just in my opinion, of course, I still looooove this show. <33
Also Echo, me, you, and Ren need to all get together and talk about animu at some point. :3
