Don't hate, I enjoy that it's 2D. I also like how it's more battle oriented than minecraft. Just cause it's one less dimension doesn't make the game shit.

its too different to be a clone, sure they got some similarities but enough differences to make it into its own game, the battling style is so much more focused than building in terraria but building is still an admired concept in the game becouse of it's crafting style.

Well look how unique of a game Minecraft is, terraria was defiantly made because of minecraft, hence, its a minecraft clone. Just because one game focus's on combat and the other doesnt mean that they arent very similar.

You could say that about any fps then, which is why i think your misinterpreting the definition of clone. a clone of a game is where say the mechanics, the graphics, and/or the idea etc. of one game are taken and another game is made from it. So no, you cant say random fps' you picked out are clones of each other, because if you are then Skyrim is a Fallout 3 clone, Minecraft is a legos clone, and Half-Life is a Doom clone.
