BUILDATHON - Minecraft Event 12/14/13 @ 9PM EST into the night

Our first event will take part in Minecraft, on our new amazing server (donate plz)

The idea is pretty simple, 'Creative for the night'.

To explain that a bit, I will provide any materials needed to contribute to the Valley of Pixels (name TBD). These materials should NOT be used for personal means, but to contribute to the 'setting' that we will all be building our homes under.

At least, that's the idea. Thoughts?

A CRAFTING TABLE HOUSE!!!

Echo I propose everyone uses the same texture pack or run default because judging builds with a different texture pack greatly changes the appearance.

I'd preferably go with the modified Dokucraft Texture pack.

Are we doing a Theme for this, or is it just whatever we want?

No idea, I believe there will be no theme restrictions.

It should probably have some sort of consistency, but whoever shows up should be the ones to decide it. The point of the night is to have everyone working together on one thing instead of our own houses for a change

ik you prob said this, but are we given creative perms for the night, or are you just supplying the materials?

I'm just supplying the materials, I've disabled flying and the like on the server completely

Also echo you should look into trying amplified world types, try generating on in single player via advance options it looks amazing.

I was originally thinking it would be that valley that you found, but after giving it more thought I figured it'd be cool to create something near spawn-ish where we can all collaborate and build something together, and our private houses off wherever they are.

For the amplified world type thingies, I can take a look at them but I don't have any interest in resetting this world
